Doug Tales 147: Blessings and Clearings, Part Four

Doug Mendenhall continues with things he learned about blessings and clearings in Conquering Spiritual Evil, Volume Two (2020), pp. 95-97. Notice that even when he is talking about other things, Doug is always talking—at core—about Christ.

In a clearing, you are representing the person before the Savior and asking Him to work on them. He will not do anything until a mortal voices what is being asked or desired. It requires both sides of the veil to accomplish this work, mortal and immortal.

What about removing things that are not to be removed? On December 22, 2018 we did a portalcism in the Salt Lake City area. After it was done we did two clearings. The woman had been so sick that her husband had to carry her everywhere she needed to go. He was pretty much her complete caregiver. As we worked our way down his body asking the Savior to remove what was of an evil nature, we got to his legs and saw some braces on both. Many times those kind of things are put there to cause pain and physical problems, etc.

I started to ask the Lord Yeshua the Christ to remove them when my sighted friend suddenly almost shouted to not remove them. “They were put there by the Savior to help him have the strength to carry his wife around. He had asked for help and the Savior put them there,” was her reply to my inquisitive look.

Would He have removed them if I had voiced it? Absolutely. I was there as voice for the man that had requested a clearing. The proper priesthood and authority was there and the Savior would have honored the request, though He would not honor a request that would cause loss of life.

This ought to make all of us think about how serious this business is and maybe we should do all that is necessary to prepare and make sure we are right before our Lord Jesus Christ before we venture into these waters.

Years ago Denise and I went around to people and told them our story of “the plant.” It was the homeopathic from a plant I was given that helped my heart issues back in 1999. Nearly every day we would go and see people, tell them our story about the plant, and then sit and wait. We were not allowed to ask them if they wanted some. We knew many, if not all, would benefit from taking the “drops” or homeopathic. If they asked for some we’d give them a bottle of it, never charging. If they didn’t ask for a bottle, we’d leave. Believe it or not, most didn’t ask. However, we did give away some eight hundred bottles that year.

I learned from that experience to not judge, to have no preconceived ideas, and to not jump to conclusions. But, it is still a fight some days. Yes, I am still prone to TLS (Tired Leg Syndrome) on occasion.

Do you think agency is key with the Gods of Light? Did they know the “drops” would help the individuals? Absolutely they did; it came from Them. So why didn’t they have me offer it to those people? I had empathy for these people; I could feel there issues and pains. Do you think I wanted to give it to them? Yes, of course I did, but obeying God was key, and I knew I couldn’t take agency away. Remember, I’d already been given an ultimatum by the Savior when I was stealing Denise’s agency.

As a result of my experiences and getting TLS many times, I have learned we don’t play with other’s agency, nor do we give our own agency away. The God Satan fell because of doing this. He wants us to do so as well. It might be wise to gain an understanding of Tired Leg Syndrome and not jump to conclusions about how and why our God does His work, about why others do what they do, or about what God means when He shares something with you. Conclusions only seem to embarrass us and cause problems. Some of us are so great in our own mind, we don’t see that is a problem. An ego will do that to you.

I remember visiting a sighted man with my sighted friend. At the end of the visit he made the statement that the Lord Jesus Christ has no ego. As soon as we were in the car I turned to my sighted friend and asked if that was a true statement. I felt it was true, but to not have any ego at all was such a foreign concept, I was having a hard time wrapping my mind around it.

“Yes, it’s true,” she replied.

Since then I have come to know it is true. He has no ego, just love and the desire to do His Father’s will in all things.

Might it be better to become one with Him, He who has no ego, no hidden agenda, and do it His way, which is His Father’s way, with love unfeigned and friendly persuasion? Might it be better to not jump to conclusions, to cast out our egos and become like Him in that respect, all the while honoring the God-given agency we are blessed with? Don’t you think?

Doug Tales 146: Blessings and Clearings, Part Three

Who does the real work when a person is being cleared of evil or dark entities? The man speaking, or Someone Else? Doug Mendenhall reminds us, “He [Christ] is the healer, the Master. We are not” in Conquering Spiritual Evil, Volume Two (2020), pp. 93-95:

Of course it is a given that if we do not have priesthood, we do not lay our hands on another individual. When we pretend we have priesthood it will only give the receiver further grief and cause us problems. The dark entities can see if we have true priesthood or not…

The proper way to dismiss entities in a clearing is to ask our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to come and send them to hell or to get rid of them. He has the power and authority evil/dark must honor. Evil entities know and understand the laws they are required to operate under. They know who can send them to hell.

The only other way I know of is if you have been assigned a warrior guardian, then you can ask him to take care of the demons and then send them to hell, and even that is under the authority of our Savior. Most people have not been assigned a warrior guardian. We all have guardians assigned to us from the moment of conception onward. They are guardian angels and are assigned for our protection. Warriors are trained to confront and dispatch evil. As stated they operate under the authority, permission, and direction of our Savior Jesus Christ.

If one thinks they have a warrior guardian and really don’t, I’d be concerned about two things. First, who told you that information or what was the source of it? Second, what are the demons going to do after you ask your non-warrior guardian to dispatch them to hell? Let’s add a third question. Just how fast can you run?

If the person voicing the clearing sees a device on the person along with a demon that is operating it and declares, “I remove the device in your right shoulder, along with the demon that is operating it and send them down to hell.” What will happen?

Nothing.

Once again, we have no power to do anything. You might try asking the Lord Jesus Christ to come and remove whatever is there and to clear it up and heal it. He is the healer, the Master. We are not.

Let me give an example. We were near St. George, Utah, doing a clearing on a very sick woman. I saw something on her and asked my sighted friend, who was there, about it. She told me what it was. But instead of asking the Lord Jesus Christ to remove it, I went on to the next thing. A short while later, my sighted friend asked me if I was going to have the Savior remove the thing I had asked about a minute earlier. “He’s still standing there waiting for you to voice it so He can remove it,” she said.

This was a huge revelation for me. My God, my Savior, was standing there waiting for me to ask Him to remove it.

Again, in a clearing, you are representing the person before the Savior and asking Him to work on them. He will not do anything until a mortal voices what is being asked or desired. It requires both sides of the veil to accomplish this work, mortal and immortal.

Doug Tales 145: Blessings and Clearings, Part Two

What is the same and what is different between a blessing and a clearing? Doug Mendenhall explains various aspects of both in Conquering Spiritual Evil, Volume Two (2020), pp. 92-94:

A blessing is not a clearing. A clearing is an ordinance and yes, priesthood is required. A clearing is when individuals have asked to have hands laid on them after getting permission from the Savior. You, as His servant come prepared to do so after the required sacrifice and preparation. It is a given that you have received His permission and authorization to perform the ordinance. They are then cleared by the Lord Jesus Christ, through your voice.

Let me repeat that, they are cleared by the Lord Jesus Christ. You are just acting as the mortal voice in the process. The person will start at the head and work downward or however the Savior tells you, voicing what is to be done. All dark things He wants cleared or removed are taken out or destroyed. This includes entities, devices, implants, curses, cauls, neck collars, evil yokes on the shoulders and so much more.

Let’s say we voiced something like, “I command the evil spirits to leave you.” Or, “I remove the curses, hexes, and evil entities that are with them, and send them back down to hell, where they are to stay and never come back.” What will the entities be doing at that point? If they aren’t laughing hysterically at you, they will just probably sneer and speak a few pointed curse words at you, all the while not going anywhere

We do not remove anything. So why voice it? Many gifted people have told me how they did this, removed that, put something here on the person, and so on. Never once did I hear that the Savior did anything. Was He even present? If He was, He was probably just standing there witnessing to the foolhardiness of an individual that believes he/she is the healer, with power or authority. But in reality, I don’t believe He would be there, not in a place He was not invited, and especially if the god, Source, is the one they are communicating with.

Of course it is a given that if we do not have priesthood, we do not lay our hands on another individual. When we pretend we have priesthood it will only give the receiver further grief and cause us problems. The dark entities can see if we have true priesthood or not. Some individuals do have priesthood, but it has not been “activated.” Or as Snuffer says, we need to have God give us the power, otherwise it is of no use.

So if our priesthood has not been “activated”, we may not want to pretend and lay hands on anyone. This will only lead to our condemnation and potential problems as the entities would love to “jump” over to you. I assure you, the Gods of Light are not playing games with any of this. It is extremely serious. If we have performed any of His ordinances and haven’t had the proper authority and Their blessing to do so—(even something as simple as blessing the emblems of the Atonement)—repentance might be the order of the day, week, and possibly month…

“Not every act done by men claiming authority from God is acknowledged by God, but only those acts with power in the priesthood belong to Him. Hence the Lord’s saying, “Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. (Matthew 7:22-23)’” (Denver Snuffer, “Power in the Priesthood,” blog post, Jan. 23, 2019)

Doug Tales 144: Blessings and Clearings, Part One

Part of conquering spiritual evil is learning to do things the way our Savior wants us to do them. During his life, Doug Mendenhall sought to follow Jesus Christ’s will in all things, and that included when others asked for blessings. Doug shares some things he learned by experience about serving others via priesthood blessings in Conquering Spiritual Evil, Volume Two (2020), pp. 91-92:

Let’s discuss a little about the actual voicing of blessings. Why would it be called “voicing” and not “giving a blessing?” A friend shared some text messages from another man where he claimed it was he that was giving a blessing when he laid hands on another person and not the Savior. The blessing actually came from him, so he was “giving” the blessing. I wish him well with that attitude and hope the person on the receiving end will actually get some competent help from someone that knows and understands who the real Healer is.

“Voicing” a blessing is when the person receives the blessing from the Lord through the person providing His voice. We must prepare to be His voice. After we have prayed and received a confirmation that it is indeed His will, we can then proceed with our preparations. This may include fasting and prayer, scripture reading, meditation, breathing, energy work, and whatever else our Savior tells us to do or sacrifice.

And yes, sacrifice is a requirement. (Maybe He will tell us to put our electronic device down for a day or two.) These things are designed to release us from the world and prepare us to be His voice to that person who requested the blessing. Many times the person requesting the blessing is so ill he or she cannot sacrifice.

During these times, the required sacrifice from you may be more than usual.

Please remember, we don’t give them anything, we are not God. We are acting as His voice. Therefore in the blessing we repeat the words given to us from God.

Doug Tales 143: Not Snowflakes

The insult, “flaky” is applied sometimes to people who are immature, inconsistent and unreliable. The modern term, “snowflake,” is a parallel insult for similar people who are not only flaky, but melt emotionally or mentally under the slightest criticism. Doug Mendenhall and his friend Kitten urge the readers of Conquering Spiritual Evil, Volume Two (2020), on pages 50-54 to not be snowflakes, but instead to know who they—we—really are and grow up:

The planets’ circumstances are controlled by the Gods of Light. Ours is a “controlled” circumstance, but it does have variables that none of the others have, as has been previously discussed. That is what makes five minutes here so interesting. We have not been in the presence of this kind of pervasive evil before….

I know I stated that we wouldn’t be doing “Further Knowledge” in this book. But I couldn’t help myself.

Further Knowledge from my sighted friend: “The supposed war in heaven did not occur in the Celestial Kingdom at all. Neither was it among the higher light beings (children of our Heavenly Father and Heavenly Mother) or those who were definitely seeking to emulate our heavenly parents. It was in an area, in the spirit realm, where the last of the children of Satan were held until a specialized mortal realm could be brought forth. The “war” was mostly of words and opinions. Yes, the emotions were intense due to the children of Satan wanting to return to their Father who made life so much easier, or so they thought. Others of light worked diligently to show, although it would take a long time, a much better path. It was agreed there would be pain and hardship, but each would learn and gain far greater progression than what Satan and his cohorts presented. There were many who were undecided of which path to travel who were children of our Heavenly Parents and, of course, those of Satan’s children. These diligently worked to point that the way of light was, in the long run, the best path to follow. Those who preferred to have a much easier way of life and advancement worked to sway the undecided, and others if possible, Satan’s plan was by far the kinder way to go.

“What was hidden was the fact that none would be allowed to mature and become full gods with kingdoms and principalities of their own. The ‘easy’ path prevented anyone from becoming truly mature adults. They would be kept children forever. The Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father’s plan, although difficult, insured each would eventually mature to become like a true God of Light, Life, and Love with a kingdom where all could progress eternities on end. Satan’s way prevents any from matching his level of power.”

Further Insight: Isn’t it interesting that when we discuss the fact that “a third part” agreed to Satan’s plan and went with him, we don’t get past what it means other than he took their agency away so they would obey, thereby not becoming perdition. He would keep them in a state that coddled them as little children, never having to endure pain or suffering in a very controlled environment. It was argued that Satan’s way was much kinder. In actuality it stifles progression. Satan’s children, during the three worlds he failed at, never had much of a chance to progress. They did learn how to be idle, safe, and demand to be equal to those that had progressed through hard work.

Does anyone else see the parallel to what is termed the “Snowflake generation” of today? I know that is a derogatory term, but it is used to describe a group of people that choose to live with Mommy and Daddy in order to be supported. Many do not work and do gaming most of the time. They prefer this easier life as opposed to leaving the safe nest and facing a world of pain and hardship. In other words, the easy life is a world of no growth, forever children under the rule of their god. And as my sighted friend said, this way also “prevents any from matching [Satan’s] level of power.” Isn’t that the preferred state of being with many individuals? Everyone gets the same participation trophy, but not much is accomplished with regards to eternal development. Interesting that Satan doesn’t want anyone to match his power, while our Savior wants all of us equal with Him.

A quote from Brigham Young adds additional insight: “These glories are called Telestial, Terrestrial, and Celestial, which is the highest, these worlds, different apartments, or mansions in our Father’s house. Now those men and those women who know more about the power of God, and the influences of the Holy Spirit, than to be led entirely by another person, suspending their own understanding and pinning their faith on another’s sleeve will never be capable of entering into the Celestial kingdom, to be crowned as they anticipate; they will never be capable of becoming Gods. They cannot rule themselves to say nothing of ruling others, but they must be dictated to in every trifle, like a child. They cannot control themselves in the least, but James, Peter, or somebody else must control them. They cannot become Gods, or be crowned as rulers with glory, immortality and eternal lives. They never can hold scepters of glory, majesty and power in the Celestial kingdom. Who will? Those who are valiant and inspired with the true independence of heaven who will go forth boldly in the service of their God, leaving others to do as they please. (Discourses of Brigham Young, pp. 382-383)

Every man must learn to do his own thinking—and his own searching—and above all, every man must find his own contact with the Almighty through the Light of Christ that is given to abide in him.

The purpose of these first four chapters is to tell us about our history. Hopefully we have filled in many blanks, and it has been above the fairy tale versions recounted in Sunday school. If we don’t know our true pre-mortal past, we can’t know the truth in our present mortal situation and how to deal with life here. When people are cut off from their true origins, they can be enslaved and controlled. Whoever controls the present narrative controls past history and can change or alter whatever they please. Why do you think despots will kill off the “old” people first? Many of them know true history. When despots do this to control the current narrative and change past history, then they can control the future because we will not know the truth, which is knowledge of the past, present, and future.

Doug Tales 142: Meditation, Part Two

Doug Mendenhall includes in some of his writings small sections he called “Further Knowledge” with observations by his sighted friend, Kitten. In I See…Arise! (2016), pp. 63-65 Kitten provides a few comments on meditation as a way of preparing oneself for Christ’s Second Coming:

From Kitten:

“A good portion of meditation is learning self-control. The majority of the world’s population have little or no control of their thoughts, emotions, or actions. Consciously regulating breathing, regulating thoughts, and taking control of our own emotions are all very important parts of meditation. So in order to meditate, we must calm our minds, calm our emotions, and actually take control of ourselves.

“The breathing exercises assist greatly in this area. The combination of breathing exercises, meditation, and working with the energy balls raises a person’s frequency to the point they are able to perform many things that the world declares are of the devil. Those of darkness are going to do everything they can to stop those who seek for light. Labels and negative connotations work wonders to stop people from learning these important, lifesaving skills

“By being consistent with the breathing, meditation, and energy, it is very possible to rise in physical frequency to the point those who are seeking to destroy any and all forms of light, the people of the general world, are no longer able to visually see those who are working in the light of Christ. Oh yes, when you are working with the bright energy balls, you are working with the light of Christ.

“As commanded, for the several years of the various workshops, because so many of the people attending them were of a much lower frequency and were unable to hear what was spoken, a huge, specialized, disk …had to be activated…which automatically raised their frequency… Invariably people began to mention how very warm the room had become. A number actually enjoyed the warmth. Others of the lower frequency complained they were becoming too hot. It would’ve helped if they’d allowed that energy to truly penetrate, then they would have discovered the warmth was actually quite pleasant.

“One of the things the Scriptures teaches is when our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, returns to this Earth, those who are unprepared will be burned at His coming. In 2 Peter 3:10-13 (American Standard Bible) we read:

“‘But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, in which the heavens will pass away with a roar and the elements will be destroyed with intense heat, and the earth and its works will be burned up. Since all these things are to be destroyed in this way, what sort of people ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness, looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be destroyed by burning, and the elements will melt with intense heat! But according to His promise we are looking for new heavens and a new earth, in which righteousness dwells.’

“Again in D&C 101:24-25 we read this:

“‘And every corruptible thing, both of man, or of the beasts of the field, or of the fowls of the heavens, or of the fish of the sea, that dwells upon all the face of the earth, shall be consumed. And also that element shall melt with fervent heat; and all things shall become new, that my knowledge and glory may dwell upon all the earth.’

“Therefore, we learn from these scriptures that the light He carries within His own body is quite brilliant and extraordinarily hot. Those who cannot stand the heat, either must learn to raise their frequency so that they are comfortable in the Lord’s heat or they will have to find a nice deep, dark, cold cave to hide in.

“‘And they shall go into the holes of the rocks, and into the caves of the earth, for fear of the Lord, and for the glory of his majesty, when he ariseth to shake terribly the earth.’ (Isaiah 2:19)”

Doug Tales 141: Meditation, Part One

A dictionary definition of “meditation” is “continued or extended thought; reflection; contemplation, or devout religious contemplation or spiritual introspection.” Based on lots of practice, prayer and persistence, Doug Mendenhall knew a thing or two about what works in meditating and what does not. He shares in I See…Arise! (2016), pp. 60-62:

Meditation is an important aspect of becoming aware of ourselves and looking inside ourselves. It opens up what some call “altered states” or what I would call a spiritual state of being. For that reason I am going to cover a few basic ideas about meditation. There are many adult education classes that teach these things and I would recommend them, along with discernment. As in all things, the Adversary has his finger in this pie, too.

There are many benefits to meditation. Some of the scientifically demonstrated benefits are: it changes and activates parts of the brain associated with creativity, planning, and emotions; improves attention and focus on tasks; improves sensitivity, specifically in vision; improves the immune system; reduces pain; reduces stress; reduces anxiety; improves skin disorders; increases love and compassion; and is a powerful tool to fight off depression. And best of all, meditation is free, with no harmful side effects, and no doctor is needed.

The first thing one needs to do in meditation is to set the stage. For most this should be obvious but isn’t. No television, no radio or iPod, no telephone—turn the thing off, and eliminate any other distractions. The world can live without being able to contact you for thirty minutes.

After getting rid of the distractions, it is important to get comfortable. I don’t do the “Yoga” thing, it isn’t comfortable for me. I like being next to the wood burning stove with a fan going and my back against the sofa. I will sit cross legged and put my palms up, which makes it easier for me to feel energy. A recliner tipped half-way back would be awesome. Loose clothing is a must. It is most important to eliminate distractions. That is why I get up early to do mine, no phones, no children, no spouse, no distractions, period.

Now you are ready to dump mental distractions. One way to do this is to imagine that you have a large box with a heavy lid or even a hole in the ground. It can look like anything at all—use your imagination. At the start of your meditation, mentally put into the box or hole a symbol of anything that might distract you during your meditation. For example, if you have an appointment that day, put it in, bills to pay, put them in. Also you might consider putting in your checkbook or credit cards. Put in any issues with others at home or work, put your business cards or your husband’s card in the box or hole.

Once all of your distractions are in, close the lid or put a lid over the hole in the ground. Then mentally turn your back or thoughts to that box and walk away from it. Just know there is no need to worry; it will all be there when you are done.

If during your mediation you are distracted, open the lid and put a symbol of that distraction in there. You should never place a person or animal in your box or the hole. Instead, put a symbol of them into it.

While meditating it is important to do what is called “Pranic Breathing.” Kitten would teach this at our workshops and many wondered why. It is a great way to super-oxygenate every cell in your body, and especially the pineal gland which has the second largest blood flow of all the organs in the body. Maureen Caudill taught this concept at one of our energy workshops.

• Start by exhaling your breath completely through your mouth, but softly, like you were blowing out a small candle.

• Now breathe in through your nose to a very slow, steady count of four. (When you get used to it, you can lengthen that to a count of six and up from there.) The goal is to bring a slow, steady, measure of air deep into your lungs. No deep gasps or sudden intakes. Just a slow, steady inhalation that is fully under your control.

• When you get to the count of four, hold your breath for just one more count.

• Now start your exhalation through your mouth. Again, make it a slow, steady release of breath to the count of four.

• When you reach four and your exhalation is finished, pause again for one beat. Then repeat the cycle.

• The point is to do this in a steady rhythm, mentally counting SLOWLY to four for each inhalation and exhalation, and pausing for one beat between each.

The point is a slow, steady stream of air flowing in and out under control. It is important to mentally count one-two-three-four. You will eventually be able to build up until you can count up to thirty or more counts with each inhalation and exhalation. That takes a lot of practice! Breathing is an important part of meditation.

Meditation, breathing, and running energy all take consistent daily practice. Do this before reading your scriptures and see what happens.

Conquering Spiritual Evil Volume One (2012) is the foundational book for all of Doug Mendenhall’s writings and the first book in the Christian Spiritual War Guidebook series. This handbook of tools, experiences, and stories shares how to deal with dark and negative spiritual entities, weapons, and devices from a Christian perspective. Conquering Spiritual Evil Volume Two (2020) is the fourth and final book in the Christian Spiritual War Guidebook series and also shares experience-based principles and tools for dealing with dark and negative spiritual entities, weapons, and devices from a Christian perspective. Doug Tales 140: Playing With Energy

Children learn about their world by playing. We too can learn much about the metaphysical world in the same way Doug Mendenhall did, by experimenting and “playing” in our practice. Doug and his friend Kitten talk about playing with energy in I See…Arise! (2016), pp. 58-59:

Robert Bruce’s book, Energy Work, has wonderful insights on how to do energy work and why. He teaches how to create an “energy ball” and use that to run through your body to clear blockages, etc. I highly recommend reading and using it as a guide in beginning energy work. It is because of reading his book, attending energy workshops such as spoon bending, that I was able to do energy work on Kitten when the Lord asked me to. I had practiced often. Many mornings in the winter I will get up and build a fire in the stove and then sit near it. While there I clear my mind, meditate, do breathing techniques, and especially run an energy ball up and down my Chakras to clear them and get them flowing in the right direction. I take time to attune my spiritual energy body to be ready for the day and whatever the Lord brings my direction. I can’t say enough that we need to become aware of ourselves and what is around us on all levels.

“In days gone by, thank goodness, Doug loved to ‘play’ with those energy balls to see who could sense when one was tossed at them. It was amazing how many totally missed what he was doing. He was a real distraction to some. It was like having someone throw a gob of a gooey substance at some part of the anatomy. His aim was rather bad. Ever have someone throw a balloon filled with watery mud and have it hit your face, head, back, etc.? Agreed, he was ‘practicing’ in a fun manner. However, to the highly sensitive that pesky balloon stung! A shield kept most out until he figured out how to change the frequency and slowed the projected velocity. It was back to the sneak up and whack! He had great fun. Those who felt the distinct impact of his balloons learned, very quickly, to set up a shield against any and all of his pranks.

“Others began to throw the energy balloons at other people with varying results. Most felt nothing while others felt something. A few felt the distinct smack. What was even more entertaining was watching the various colored orbs being lobbed around. Some were quite bright with a single color while others were of several colors. Doug’s pesky orbs began as a single, rather dark, orb then advanced to multicolored ones.

“It is amazing to see the various colors and sizes of energy balls people move up and down on their own bodies. What most do not understand is if the color(s) were dull and rather dark, they complained there was little to no sensation. That is like hauling a ball of lead to the battery store and asking them to charge it so you can put it into the car to start it. Not going to happen. When the energy ball is full of light, pulsing, various bright colors or a single bright color, those working with them felt considerable charges moving along their bodies as a result. The dark low-level frequency energy will actually deplete someone. It is best to become conscious of which kind you are working with before throwing it at someone else!”

Doug Tales 139: The Conscious Mind, Part Two

Balance, harmony, completeness and perfection are all potential futures for each of us. Doug Mendenhall continues explaining many aspects of how our mind works (and could work) in I See…Awake! (2015), pp. 67-71:

A good definition of our consciousness is the ability of a person to recognize patterns and meaning with respect to events taking place, both within oneself and in the realm in which that self exists and operates. The conscious mind expresses itself with thoughts, emotions, and actions. In the scriptures the Lord calls it the Mind, Spirit, and Body.

There are three basic complexes in the human brain:

1. R complex—this comprises the brain stem, reptilian brain, and the things we have to do to survive.

2. Limbic or Mammal brain—center of the brain, which makes our emotions possible, emotional responses in the body, and helps us feel.

3. Higher brain, neocortex—facilitates all higher human thought. It has two hemispheres.

The neocortex has two hemispheres. The Left Brain deals with or facilitates logical, analytical and scientific thought, logic, language, science and math. The Right Brain facilitates holistic thought, intuition, creativity, music, art, and compassion. As the Lord taught Denise that night, the left brain is masculine/male and the right brain is feminine/female. To be truly healthy we need to keep these two sides in balance. The scriptures call it double minded. “A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.” (James 1:8)

The Lord told my daughter Denise about the upright triangle representing the male and the upside down triangle representing the female. He told her that when they are combined or in balance they make the six pointed star as seen below, also known as a simple form of the seal of Solomon. The triangle pointing up also represents a plow, action, and even a rudimentary phallic, or male sex symbol, while the female triangle is symbolic of a chalice, receiving, and also the womb. A completely conscious human being has these two sides, the male and female, of the neocortex in balance. Modern science will tell you that this is all nonsense. They are right, because to them it is. Seems the Lord thinks differently, but then isn’t that the case about many things? After all, His ways are not our ways, even though they should be.

What Cain was taught, and he in turn has taught Satan’s followers, was if the brain is not in balance then there is a schism; the neocortex will not function properly and that causes either the left or right side to be dominant.

If a human’s left brain becomes overly dominant then the lower brain or the “Reptile brain” will take over executive function of the brain. The emotions become suppressed, and the person will become ruled by selfishness and base desires and could develop a personality based in domination and control. On an extreme level think of Hitler. These are some of the problems that a left brain dominant person could develop: rigid skepticism, scientism, authoritarianism, eugenics, social Darwinism, moral relativism, and atheism.

If the person’s right brain hemisphere becomes overly dominant, the Limbic System or middle brain will take over executive function of the brain. Defense and survival instincts will become suppressed, and the person will be ruled by their emotions and develop a personality based in submissiveness and naiveté. They can be easily controlled or dominated. These people make great “workers” or willing slaves. A right side dominant person may also exhibit the following personality problems: naiveté, blind belief, religious extremism, order follower, self-loathing, and unworthiness.

Either of these brain imbalances could result in depression. Can you see why Satan would want to cause this imbalance and then provide a remedy (anti-depressants, medications) that also closes off our spiritual sight? It is brilliant. He can get us going both directions.

When both brain hemispheres are in balance, the Neocortex acts in its proper role as the executive command center of the human brain, and true intelligence is born—a being in balance. When the Lord declares that we need to become perfect as He is, which means “complete or whole,” might this be one of the ways He is talking about?

My daughter said that the Lord showed her what the brain looks like when both halves are in balance. She said the brain literally “lights up.” She thought it was “pretty cool.” I asked if she has seen a person’s brain light up, and she said yes, though she didn’t know what it was at the time. She has seen it with our two friends…who have received the Lord. I wondered if there was a correlation with this connection or mind balance. Actually she mentioned that He also shared with her that unless your brain is balanced and lights up like this, you will not be able to receive the Second Comforter. Question answered. No wonder the powers of darkness have done all they can to keep these things from becoming public knowledge, and if it does get out, science promptly plays their part and tells you it is all mumbo-jumbo and not to bother with it.
